  • The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for the 2021-2022 school year will open on OCTOBER 1st, 2021! Please do not submit your FAFSA before this date or you will be applying for financial aid for the wrong academic term. You can complete your FAFSA at fafsa.gov. Tips to review before you begin completing the FAFSA can be found here.
  • If you are planning to apply to an in-state public institution, you MUST complete the Residency Determination Service form in order to be eligible for in-state tuition and state grant awards. You will use your CFNC login credentials to complete this application. Ideally, this should be done BEFORE you begin applying to schools. Save your RCN (Residency Certification Number) after completing the form as college applications will ask for this number.
  • A list of local scholarships and helpful scholarship search engines can be found on the document below. Please check this page regularly for scholarship updates as they are provided to the counseling office throughout the school year.
