Virtual Day – Friday, January 10

Good afternoon UCA Staff and Families,

The message is to let you know that for tomorrow, Friday, January 10th, all Uwharrie Charter Academy Schools and district offices will operate on a virtual platform for both students and staff. This decision is based on information that there is the possibility of snow moving quickly across our area during our dismissal time. Upon reflecting that the first hour is the most dangerous and knowing we will have our young drivers and buses on the road during that time, this is the safest decision. While we understand this may be inconvenient, we also wanted to ensure that if there is an additional shift to the pattern, we are prepared.
