I worked in the engineering field for over 20 years, working as an Industrial Engineer, Reliability and Design Engineer, and a Test Engineer.  I spent 26 years in the U.S. Air Force, doing 6 years of active duty and then 20 years in the North Carolina Air National Guard.  During that time I was a Forward Controller, a Combat Communications Specialist, and in Air Base Survivability.  The last 10 years in the NCANG I worked directly for the commanding general.  I began my educational career after completing my Bachelor's Degree in 2002.  I completed my Master's Degree in Teaching Mathematics from Western Governors University.  I have been married to my wife, Patsy, for 39 years; have 2 grown children and 3 grand children.
